Smiling and giggling at 8 weeks old #babybabble

Finley's been smiling for the last 2-3 weeks and coo'ing for the last 1-2 weeks. But the other night was the first time he 'laughed'. And I mean he was really was amused. Rather apt for the blog is what causes him to giggle - baby babble!

Yup... googoo gaga really does make babies happy, it's not just a cliché.

What's really annoying though is that he was really going for it for about 15 minutes before I said to the hubster to start filming. Then, in typical fashion, he stopped! There is a small 'laugh' and giggle in what we did capture though, the best bits between 20 - 35 seconds - have a look below...




Is there anything sweeter than a babies first giggle? 
I'd struggle to think of something other, that's for sure.

In other awesome baby babble news... Finley has almost cracked sleeping through the night!

HOORAH!!

He has his last bottle of 6oz (180ml) at around 8pm, screams the house down til about 10pm then sleeps 'til anywhere between 4am - 6am. I just wish he didn't try to fight it so much in the evening, I mean, I know I should be used to his fretting and stressing by now but it's still really hard. I hate seeing his little face go all purple with real tears bursting out of those gorgeous little eyes. 
Hmmf.

Perhaps by this time next week, I can report back an improvement!

    Aww I love baby's first giggles! It makes all of the hard work feel so much worthwhile when they start responding to you, first with a smile, and then with chuckles, just lovely :) Fingers crossed on the sleeping front! We had a nightmare first few months with Monkey, though that was largely due to Colic, and didn't get him to sleep before 11pm till about 4 months old, though he was sleeping through by then I think. Aah not looking forward to going through all that again with number 2! xx #babybabble
