Hairy Mugs and Glass Frames - All in the name of Christmas!

Yes. You read that correctly! Today I'm sharing with you 2 wicked finds from Oakdene Designs that should be on your Christmas gift lists.

I'll tell you a bit about Oakdene Designs, the small team of budding designers and manufacturers located in a quaint village near Dorking, Surrey. Each and every item they offer their customers is specially made-to-order. When you want it, they make it! Their diverse selection of fun, original, and often vintage-inspired, products offers the customer an exciting range to choose from.

These guys are also passionate about supporting other small businesses and so source their materials from British suppliers. Oh, and they offer unique items too - yes, my all-time fave word, PERSONALISATION! I've said it once, I'll say it until I'm blue in the face, I just can't get enough of it - it makes a gift so special.

So, having the opportunity to sample their Transparent Glass Photo Frames to review, I sent off a couple of pictures and then put it to the back of my mind - not even thinking about what to expect when it arrived. This way I could experience the genuine 'gift-factor' element of receiving this item.

Oh, wow. I was blown away. First and foremost, a photo printed onto the actual glass, not just in a glass frame, it is simply stunning. You can get so many 'looks' from one picture it's unreal. One image is of my frame wall-mounted over magnolia coloured paper, and one is held directly up to the sky (think, perhaps, the affect of it being on a window sill on a beautiful day). If you're going to choose to print a snowman however, I'd advise it being placed in the fore of a darker background as white will appear as clear on the glass.

Available in 5x5" or 8x8", there's scope to choose one of your favourite Instagram photo's to have printed on the pane. No Instagram? No problem. They're also available in 6x4" and 9x6". Frames are available in white or black - you could think about creating an arty monochrome display of a handful of pictures. Just remember that your pics are printed on real glass so must be on a safe, rigid surface to prevent any breakage. Transparent Glass Photo Frames retail from £18.

I know, I know, I also promised Hairy Mugs in my title didn't I? Well there's no actual hair involved, thankfully, but it pays due respect to those who do flash their facial fuzz.

Dishwasher safe, this ceramic man mug is also presented in a lovely gift box making it a perfect gift for anyone. Retailing at just £11.50 I'm impressed with it's quality, design and presentation as a whole - and I don't even have a beard.
