Recently, Asda revealed that 87% of parents have had to throw away their baby’s clothes due to staining, with almost half of parents (48%) doing this at least once a month.
Well, at least I'm not the only one!
The poll^ commissioned by Asda to launch its new range of Little Angels detergents, has shown that soiled baby clothes are costing strapped-for-cash parents £600 a year to replace – that’s a whopping £4.2m for new families in the UK and I'm not surprised in the slightest.
I hate to say it but when Finley, and his clothes, are covered in bright orange baby food, I don't know why I bother throwing them in the wash. I do worry about using stain removal products considering we're supposed to use non-bio on our little one's clothes, I mean if biological detergents can cause rashes - can stain removal agents? I am one of the 6 out of 10 parents that think this according to Asda's poll.
When asked what the worst culprit for staining baby garments was 52% of parents said poo, while baby food (74%) and juice (32%) also topped the list. As a result 43% of squeaky-clean parents have admitted to sticking on two extra washes a week for their baby, with a quarter needing to do five.

I've tried the Little Angels capsules and, true to their claims, they leave clothes really very soft. I was impressed, particularly as there is a subtle scent to the clothes once washed too. I'm keen to try the oxy powder stain remover as it is non-bio and maybe I can save myself a bit of cash in the long run when it comes to messy Finley's vests getting rotten!

I always end up throwing Lucas's clothes out mainly due to food stains! Why they make all baby food orange, I will never know!!! Will definitely look into these as I hate throwing his clothes out!
